The
most poplular mini that l have ever released has now been produced in Earthenware
China and she has been finished in a high gloss deep Black. She is completely
black except for eye whites, eyes, hooves and chestnuts and the best bit is
that she is available now............l have 28 ready to send out this week...........if
any one would like one : )
lf the demand is high l will make another batch later in the year, but currently there are only 28 ready to go.
Mini Earthenware production is a new venture for Animal Artistry /Alchemy Ceramics. The Bone China back log is being worked through at a steady rate, but is limited by how fast Lorrainne can paint them. At the current rate of progress all back orders will be completed by Christmas 2007. However, in the meantime, l do have the capacity to produce more china horses, and so l feel that l can offer you all something new. While the bone chinas are steadily produced, we can experiment with other china horse possibilities. l have persuaded Johanna, my Resin painter that she must explore new fields, and here is the first fruit of our labours, a lovely silky smooth glossy "clinky" in the traditional style of Beswick or Pour Horse. l had chosen the Friesian Mare as the first release, because l had thought that the black colouring would be an easy place to start from...........well, this was a presumption on my part, and it has taken 8 prototypes to perfect the technique required. The dapple grey and roan colours that we have been experimenting with have yielded much quicker results!
The Friesian Mare is the first earthenware mini to be made available, but l hope to release both the Higland Pony Gelding and Tagus later in the year. They too will be offered when they are ready to send out, as l do not want to develop another back order list. l know that you have all been very patient, and l'm pleased to be able to offer you something that you can have now, without any waiting. This little china horse stands approximately 3 1/2 inches high and each one will be individually numbered, and stamped underneath with the Animal Artistry Alchemy details.
The Friesian Mare is also available in White Earthenware Bisque prepared and produced by Alchemy Ceramics he has all the attention to detail that you would expect from an Alchemy edition. Each part is cleaned and detail enhanced to give an outstanding finish. The body is fired at the maximum end of the firing scale, 1160 degrees Centigrade/2120 degrees Fahrenheit giving a very strong fired sculpture.
Alchemy has tested the regular American glazes on the body with no sign of rejection. As the pieces are bisque fired in small chambers, each piece is guaranteed a good firing, there fore reducing the chances of the glaze crazing in out lifetime. However, the bisques are not available at present and would take a 4 week turn around time after the order is placed.
The price for this Gloriously Glossy Friesian Mare is only $135.00 each inc. P&P or £65.00 inc. VAT and P&P.
As a bisque the price is $95.00 inc. P&P or £48.00 inc. VAT and P&P for GB
l can accept most credit cards and paypal donna@animalartistry.co.uk , but l am currently unable to accept $ checks and US postal orders.
Time payments are always available and can be structured to suit you : )
