Big, Bold and Beautiful Percheron Mare is available now............
"Rosie" is the start of a new venture for Animal Artistry and Alchemy. She is the first of a range of Traditional sized Horses to be produced in Earthenware. Work has already begun on "Edmund" and there is a Friesian Mare and an Arabian Stallion planned for later in the New Year. Rosie is an original sculpture that was commissioned by Breyer, however as she would not stand without a base, a replacement Percheron "Wixom" was made for them. Rosie was left unproduced, but she was adapted and made into a Clydesdale gelding. However in a Studio Clearout l found her mold and wanted to produce her as originally intended, and the Earthenware project was undertaken. (Rosie has never been produced as a resin and there are no plans to do so).
Pictured above are the two Standard colours to be offered, Glossy Lightly Dappled Grey and Glossy Black, with a choice of a small star or snip. ( the hooves will be shaded on the standard one, this is a prototype) Rosie is a most impressive china horse standing 9 3/4 inches high and each one will be individually numbered, and stamped underneath with the Animal Artistry Alchemy details.
This Traditional sized Percheron Mare is also available in White Earthenware Bisque prepared and produced by Alchemy Ceramics she has all the attention to detail that you would expect from an Alchemy edition. Each part is cleaned and detail enhanced to give an outstanding finish. The body is fired at the maximum end of the firing scale, 1160 degrees Centigrade/2120 degrees Fahrenheit giving a very strong fired sculpture.
Alchemy has tested the regular American glazes on the body with no sign of rejection. As the pieces are bisque fired in small chambers, each piece is guaranteed a good firing, there fore reducing the chances of the glaze crazing in out lifetime.
The price for this Lovely Mare in Glossy Dappled Grey/ Glossy Black is $495.00 each inc. P&P or £299.00 inc. VAT and P&P (add an extra £10.00 for Europe.)
As a bisque the price is $380.00 inc. P&P or £230 inc. VAT and P&P for GB (add an extra £10.00 for Europe.)
