Mini Earthenware production was a new venture for Animal Artistry /Alchemy Ceramics in 2007 and we hope to continue expanding the range in 2008. The Bone China back log is being worked through at a steady rate, but is limited by how fast Lorraine can paint them. However, in the meantime, l do have the capacity to produce more china horses, and so l feel that l can offer you all something new. While the bone chinas are steadily produced, we can experiment with other china horse possibilities. Johanna, my former Resin painter has made huge progress in under glazing techniques and l can now confidently offer a much larger range of colours to choose from.
Sabiha is the first Earthenware to be offered purely to the customers choice of colour. l have included pictures of all the colours l have tried her in so far, and there are plenty of other options you could chose. (l intend to post an Earthenware colour Chart very soon, so that you can refer to that to help you choose). As well as free choice of colour, l also hope to be able to offer a Matt finish version as well, but experiments with the new glaze are still in their infancy at the moment.
Sabiha has had some minor changes made to her forelock for the Earthenware version, compared to the resin one. l have included pictures of her bisque version to illustrate this, and also to show you how nice she looks as a simple bisque............perfect to send off to your favourite custom glaze Artist : )
This Elegant china horse stands approximately 7 1/2 inches high and each one will be individually numbered, and stamped underneath with the Animal Artistry Alchemy details.
Unlike the previous mini runs, l do not have a large stock of these to send out immediately, and they will be dispatched a few each week. The first 2 are ready to decorate this week, and there will be more available the following week. Therefore there will be a short delay in dispatch with these Sabihas, so if you would like to order one for the future, rather than for "now" that will work out well with my current production commitments ; )
Sabiha is also available in White Earthenware Bisque prepared and produced by Alchemy Ceramics she has all the attention to detail that you would expect from an Alchemy edition. Each part is cleaned and detail enhanced to give an outstanding finish. The body is fired towards the maximum end of the firing scale, 1140 degrees Centigrade giving a very strong fired sculpture.
Alchemy has tested the regular American glazes on the body with no sign of rejection. As the pieces are bisque fired in small chambers, each piece is guaranteed a good firing, there fore reducing the chances of the glaze crazing in out lifetime. The bisque mares are not kept in stock at the moment so there would be a 4 week turn around time after the order is placed.

ln a standard Solid colour, with your choice of markings the price is only $278.00 each inc. P&P or £185.00 inc. VAT and P&P.
ln a Dappled or Pinto colour, with your choice of markings the price is only $299.00 each inc. P&P or £199.00 inc. VAT and P&P.
