Horses Currently Available

Resin

The Animal Artistry Resin horse range is available unpainted or completely finished to your specification.  I am now casting  with polyurethene resin, which is quite strong, but gives a crisp detailed replica of the original sculpture.

Most mini horses are approximately 3 ½ inches in height and if the edition is limited it will be to only 250 perfect copies worldwide. The special edition resins (show specials, Animal Artistry Mailing List SR) may only number 50-100 copies in total, so your AA horse or Pony will always be rather exclusive.

There is a medium sized range of small to large “classics” between 4 ½ -7 inches high that are open editions, but each one is numbered, and records are kept. Generally the editions are closed at around 80-100 copies depending on the life of the particular mould.

The larger range of “Traditional” sized horses 7inches+ are usually limited to only 125 copies worldwide, and once the edition is closed there will not be any more produced.

Bone China And Earthenware China

Most of the Animal Artistry Range of Horses and Ponies are available in both Bone China and Earthenware china. Usually a sculpture will be released in resin, and after a few months it will then be available in china.

Due to the delicacy of some of the horses, they are not ideally suited to Earthenware china as they would be inclined to chip or break. The Arabian Filly foals’ legs are so fine that the earthenware slip is reluctant to fill the mould, as it is being absorbed before it gets to her knee or hock.
